Dr. Erin Yong Ping
Clinical Associate
Dr. Yong Ping (She/Her) received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University. She currently provides Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT for youth with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, disordered eating, ADHD, complex medical histories, and trauma. Dr. Yong Ping provides treatment for suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviours, emotion dysregulation, substance use, and interpersonal difficulties. She is passionate about helping adolescents and families with complex mental health needs, and has obtained extensive experience working in hospital, community, and university settings.
Prior to the completion of her Ph.D., Dr. Yong Ping obtained an M.Sc. in Psychiatry from McGill University and completed her predoctoral residency at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She completed a pediatric psychology fellowship at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Her clinical interests draw from her doctoral research, which examined the impact of parental bipolar disorder on childhood functioning via changes to the family environment. Dr. Yong Ping’s clinical research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at national and international conferences. In her free time, Dr. Yong Ping enjoys spending time with her friends and family and engaging with her community. She also loves to explore with her pup Miles.
