Dr. Adam Iskric, C. Psych. (Supervised Practice)
Clinical Associate
Dr. Iskric (He/Him) is a clinical adult and adolescent psychologist (Supervised Practice) registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He has provided comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) across inpatient hospital facilities, partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs, community mental health clinics, and private practice settings. Dr. Iskric completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University in New York and his pre-doctoral residency at Linden Oaks Behavioural Health Hospital and Outpatient Center in Illinois. His previous training in DBT includes working with Dr. Alec Miller, a pioneer in the field and one of the co-creators of the DBT Skills Manual for Adolescents. In addition to DBT, Dr. Iskric has extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dr. Iskric provides treatment for clients struggling with suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviours, borderline personality disorder, trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, anger, and psychosis.
Dr. Iskric works with both adolescents and adults over the age of 14. He is passionate about collaborative goal-setting with clients by providing non-judgmental warmth, compassion, and validation of every individual’s unique emotional experience alongside problem-solving approaches to help clients and their families build happy and meaningful lives. His passion for suicide prevention stems from his previous peer-reviewed scholarly articles and presentations at international academic conferences as well as his experience at the Toronto Distress Centre as a phone support volunteer. In his free time, Dr. Iskric enjoys playing soccer, tennis, board games, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
